Go Eagles! Voss Middle School is the newest of the three middle schools and is led by Principal Beto Hinojosa. Being a newer campus, this school has been able to utilize technology to a new degree, being recognized as a is a 1:1 technology campus with all students being issued a Google Chromebook for use in all classes. To achieve this
goal, teachers were trained on the implementation of technology in the classroom. These trainings included Smartboard technology, Google Classroom and many other resources. All classrooms at VMS are equipped with Smartboards, internet access and streaming devices. The addition of two iPad carts, each containing 30 iPads will be used by teachers and students alike to access applications for use in the classroom. Teachers integrate technology into their lessons daily, including the use of Smartboard technology, and Google Classroom. This school services students in grades 6-8 and offers the core curriculum needed for high school in English Language Arts, Math, Science and Social Studies. This school, like many other BISD schools features the CTE (Career & Technology) program is to develop the career, professional, academic, and technical skills of our students through the use of dynamic programs, relevant curriculum, quality facilities, and state of the art tools. Fine Arts programs are offered as well in the concentrations of art, bands, choir, orchestra, theatre and the electives of creative writing, yearbook, student aide, and wellness. The sports programs offered are volleyball, Boys and Girls basketball, track, cross country, Boys and Girls soccer, football, and tennis. Voss has a wide range of clubs offered outside of the classroom and these include art collective, band, chess, choir, destination imagination (DI), Eaglettes, FCCLA, GSA, orchestra, student council, Tyler’s Troops, UIL, and Voss Volunteers.
