Rudy's BBQ

Leon Springs is a little community located between San Antonio and Boerne that was founded in the 1800’s by Max Aue. Max’s son, Rudolph, opened a small gas station, garage and grocery store here that added a BBQ in 1989. Rudy’s Country Store and BBQ was started and has been serving BBQ to guests at this location ever since. As the original location, the restaurant has rich history which can be seen on the exterior and interior. All the BBQ is made on 100% wood fired pits that use oak, a slower burning wood. Known for their famous “sause”, Rudy’s BBQ has made quite a name for itself in the south Texas BBQ scene. You’ll find brisket, turkey, chopped beef, pork ribs, baby back ribs, chicken, and sausage from the pit but don’t forget about their sides. They have potato salad, beans, cream corn and cole slaw to go along with the BBQ plates. Located at 24152 W. IH 10, Rudy’s is open Sunday through Thursday from 10:30am-9pm and Friday and Saturday from 10:30am-10pm.
