PoPo Family
Restaurant

Originally a dance hall back in 1929, Popo Family Restaurant has made quite a name for itself as a southern comfort food restaurant. As you walk in, you’ll find a common theme around the restaurant. The walls are filled with plates of all sizes and colors. The owners first started collecting plates from their travels and now the collection has grown to 2,347 due to donations from friends, family, and patrons. Taken straight from their website, Popo’s describes their food as “Good old-fashioned, home-style Texas cooking served daily with delicious desserts and libations.” Their menu features starters, soups, salads, sandwiches, steaks, chops, grilled entrees, fried chicken, seafood, and hill country favorites like their chicken friend ribeye. If you have a sweet tooth, their homemade dessert menu is a must see. They have a lunch menu as well as daily specials so be sure to check out their menu each time you go. Also know for their featured cocktails, Popo Family Restaurant can mix up a great cocktail to enjoy and they feature seasonal drinks. Located at 829 FM 289 the restaurant is open Wednesday through Sunday from 11:30am-8:30pm.
