Veterans

Veterans Plaza holds a special place in many Boerne residents lives as the plaza honors those who lost their lives serving our country. The park is comprised of a series of trees and sidewalks that lead to the Veterans War Memorial in the center. The wide walkway leading to the memorial is comprised of bricks that include the names of family and friends that served or are currently serving in the military. The monument itself honors the service men and women who lost their lives during World War I, World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War and the Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts.  The site is where gatherings for Veterans Day and Memorial Day ceremonies take place.
